How do you measure prosperity?

A quick question… what does prosperity mean to you?

Take a moment and think about it.

What is prosperity?

How do you know you have it?

When you think prosperity, what do you experience within yourself?

What does it feel like?

What does it look like?

What sounds are associated to prosperity?

Are there any tastes?

In my life, I have known prosperity to be determined by a monetary value, such as my pay rate, how much money I have in the bank, the amount of possessions and the house in which I live.

When I recently learned of a cultural value in a Papua New Guinean tribe, it made me pause and look at prosperity in a while new light.

This inspirational Papua New Guinean tribe’s highest form of respect was given to those who gave the most away.

I had to have a long hard think about this concept, so I could really appreciate this amazing level of compassion and unselfish act.

You see, in our society it is all about giving and then receiving. What do you think would happen if we adopted this Papua New Guinean tribe’s mentality?

I have heard of gratitude and now learning this purity of giving, has taken on a whole new light for me. Coming from pure of heart with no expectation of anything in return, as deep down knowing there is plenty , an abundance within our universe for EVERYONE!

Respect, compassion and love!
